Lab 9: Sorting Table Contents by Column

Part I. Getting Started

• Create a directory called Lab9 and place all the parts of this lab in the directory.

Part II. Detecting Browsers

• Start with the Complete Sort example from week 12. It can be found at http://cs.metrostate.edu/~fitzgesu/courses/ics225/fall2006/examples/SortTables/SortColumns3.htm

• Add another column to the example. Verify that everything is still working.

• Change the styles on the table. For example, change the font and the size of the font.

• Add a heading to the page.

• Change the tooltips to tell the user what will happen when he or she clicks on the link. That is, indicate whether the column will be sorted in ascending or descending order next.
